Position Summary/Description
The Twin Lakes Police Department is seeking proactive and motivated individuals who are committed to professional policing and community service. Officers serve in a community-oriented policing environment where building relationships, solving problems, and protecting the public are central to daily operations.
Police Officers are responsible for enforcing the laws of the State of Wisconsin and the ordinances of the Village of Twin Lakes while maintaining public order, protecting life and property, and providing responsive police services. Duties include responding to calls for service, conducting proactive patrol and traffic enforcement, investigating incidents, assisting citizens, and working collaboratively with other public safety partners.
The Twin Lakes Police Department places a strong emphasis on training, officer development, and career growth. Officers have opportunities to expand their experience through specialized assignments and regional teams including Investigations, K-9, SWAT, Narcotics Unit, Major Crash Team, Crowd Control Unit, Arson Task Force, and Field Training Officer roles, along with additional training and leadership opportunities.

Salary
$32.1595-$38.9343/ hour-**Dependent on Qualifications

Qualifications
- Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position
- Ability to possess a firearm
- Ability to use all standard law enforcement equipment
- Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Driver’s license
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- No domestic abuse or felony convictions
- React quickly and effectively to stressful situations
- U.S. Citizen
- Vision correctable to 20/20
- Minimum age of 21 years old
Must pass Background check, Drug Screening, Medical Exam, Oral Interviews, and Psychological Exam
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma
- 60 College Credits/ Associate’s Degree
Lateral Transfer Program-**Officers with experience can be hired at a higher rate of pay and greater amount of vacation time.
