TLPD K9 UNIT

Thank you for your interest in helping support the TLPD K9 unit!

Meet Jaxx! In December 2020, Jaxx became the 2nd canine with the Twin Lakes Police Department. Jaxx is a male Belgian Malinois, born in the Netherlands on September 19, 2019.  He spent his younger months training in Tennessee before coming to Twin Lakes for his career in police work.  At only 19 months old, Jaxx is the youngest member of the Department, but he can outrun us all!

Jaxx was sworn in on April 5th, 2021. Jaxx and his handler, Officer Jeff Comp, completed an intensive 6 week training and became certified at Double Dutch Acres in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  Jaxx specialized in narcotic detection, patrol apprehension and tracking.  The team trains on a daily basis to make sure they remain proficient in their skills.

Twin Lakes residents may see them in the K9 patrol vehicle in your neighborhood.  We encourage you to wave and welcome Jaxx to Twin Lakes.  While Jaxx is a GREAT community dog, Officer Comp reminds the public NOT to approach the vehicle while Jaxx is on duty.
