YARD WASTE STICKERS

Grass clippings, leaves, and brush under 6” in diameter can be dropped off at the Twin Lakes Recycling Center from April to November on the following schedule:

Wednesday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

Saturdays & Sundays 7:00am to Noon

The Yard Waste Recycling Center is located at the Public Works facility, 800 Burlington Avenue.

BUILDING INSPECTION

Building Inspection Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:30 pm-2:00 pm.

PET TAGS

Dog Licenses: All Dogs in the Village over five months of age must be licensed annually by April 1 or within 30 days of ownership.

Dog fees are as follows:

Un-neutered/Un-spayed animals $10.00
Neutered/Spayed animals $5.00

Proof of current Rabies Vaccination is required to obtain a license.

Failure to receive a dog license in a timely fashion will subject the owner to a $5.00 penalty. Duplicate Licenses cost $10.

SEWER

The Village of Twin Lakes Sewer Department is requesting and reminding residents to NOT flush anything other than toilet paper! If you are using something other than toilet paper do NOT flush it down your toilet. Please, dispose of it in the garbage. This is a reminder considering the actions (use of disinfectant wipes/products) we are all taking to combat the Coronavirus. Please, note that these are rules to abide by no matter the circumstance.

Something else to consider is the potential to plug the sewers. The lateral (piping) from your home to the sewer main in the road is owned by you, the property owner, and is your responsibility if you have a plug in it. The Village of Twin Lakes has ownership of the sewer main. If the sewer main in the street gets plugged the Sewer Department will take action to solve the problem, but keep in mind that the plug most likely occurred due to residents flushing disinfectant wipes, feminine hygiene products, facial tissues, paper towels, diapers, etc. down their toilet. The result of the sewer main being plugged may be sewer backups into numerous other homes as well. As a favor to yourself, other homeowners, and the sewer department abide by this request.
